Flush Mount D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor
When you need a secure and convenient cargo tie-down anchor, choose this flush mount D-ring and mounting plate kit. The galvanized D-ring has a square recessed pan that gets bolted into your wooden trailer floor, keeping your surface even and avoiding the hazards of people tripping and freight snagging. The D-ring lies flush in the pan when not in use and can be lifted upward for use as a cargo tie-down anchor.
Bolting Hardware Included
The 3/8"-16 diameter, 2.5" long round head carriage are made out of steel and plated with zinc for superior corrosion and rust resistance. They are Grade A ASTM A307.
The 3/8"-16 diameter, 3/8" thick lockwasher Keps (K) nuts have attached free spinning toothed serrated star washers. They are made out of steel and plated with zinc for superior corrosion and rust resistance. They conform to ANSI B1.1 Class 2B standards.
The 1" diameter, 3/32" thick flat washers are also made out of steel and plated with zinc for superior corrosion and rust resistance.
Steel Mounting Back-Plate
This mounting back-plate goes on the underside of the mounting trailer to reinforce the lock hold. It is a black 1/10" thick, 6.5" x 6.5" square, with a 3.5" diameter circle in the middle. There are four pre-drilled holes for bolt-down.
A Simple Guide To Installing Your Recessed-Pan Fitting D-Ring Tie-Down Anchors
- Try to choose a versatile tie-down spot that will be convenient for all kinds of loads. Corners of truck beds and trailers are often optimal.
- Decide on the exact spot that you wish to install the D-ring.
- The recessed-pan fitting has four pre-drilled square holes - one in each corner. Put the pan fitting in its place and drill through the bolting holes; then hold a mounting plate on the underside of the mounting surface (your trailer, truck bed, or table) and insert the appropriate bolts into the 4 holes, securing with lock nuts and washers.
- Your tie-down anchor is now ready to go! Use it to anchor chains, S hook straps, bungee cords, motorcycle tie-downs, and other cargo control products.
